Research for my sequential images:

For my sequential images I chose to look into Duane Michals, as I have already done a research page about him, therefore learning a lot in the process.

I have created some notes on what I will want my sequential images to contain and how they would look. I have decided to look into Michals as his photographs tell an amazing story. I admire the photo selection of ''A dream of flowers,'' as it can symbolise either the rebirth or the death.

To take my photos I sat on the floor and I placed my phone on my desk to make sure that my face was in view.  I took 3 pictures of myself and reused the one with my eyes closed. I then reused the last photo with my eyes closed to save me some time. I took the photos on an Apple iPhone 11, on Friday 20th January at 9:20a.m, the camera settings I used was the front camera, at 1 MP, the dimensions of the image are 1792 x 960, and it was saved as a JPG. They were also with the ''noir.'' I set the timer on my phone to 3 seconds so that I could pose and take the photo.

This is a contact sheet with the images before I
had edited them all to fit Duane Michal's
A dream of flowers.

After I took the images I wanted to fully recreate Duane Michal's work, however I did not have real flowers, therefore I had to edit them in. To do this I used ''Pixlr'', I used the tool ''liquify'', to distort the background as I wanted to face to be in the centre of attention.

After adding the flowers to the photos I was fairly happy with them, I liked the fact that the background was liquified therefore making my face the centre of attention. I was now ready to put them all together.
