Classwork, sequential images:
Last week we did our own versions of sequential images, it was to represent the sequence of tying your shoes. In class we discussed sequential photography. My model, Vitkoriia, did a step by step on how she ties her shoes.
We used a mobile phone back camera to capture the images. The 16 photos that were taken were captured with an Apple iPhone 11, they were taken using the back camera, they were taken on Thursday 12th January 2023 at 10:16a.m. I have used the auto settings on the phone, the ISO was 500, and the images were taken in HEIC format, which means I will have to convert those into JPG, later on. The back camera used was a wide camera - 26mm, the image is 3024 x 4032.
I proceeded to upload the images to Google drive and then shared it with Viktoriia, so that she could have access to it to. After this, I downloaded the files to my desktop, however my files were in HEIC, which means I had to convert them to a JPG. I did this by using a website called, ''heictojpg'' unfortunately by using this website I could only convert 5 images at a time. I had to repeat the process until all my 16 images were converted.
Here is a screenshot to show how the website looked, it shows how to convert the files and what exactly to do. Source: HEIC to JPG This is what my sequential images looked like, before I had converted them into a JPG file. |
Here is what my images looked like after I had transferred them into a JPG file. |
I will now load up Adobe Photoshop 2022, I will be using this to connect my images into a contact sheet. This will make them flow together into a sequential piece.
To do this I would first have to set the settings so that they are automatically put into a contact sheet, to do this I would have clicked file, then automate and then 'Contact sheet II'. This will put all my images together.
File -> Automate -> Contact sheet II. |
These are the default settings for the contact sheet, before selecting where my images would come from. |
This is my final contact piece. |
Good use of technical details with screenshots. Please post your final contact sheet.
